Mount Sodom הר סדום

Places

A ridge about 11 kilometers long on the southwest shore of the Dead Sea, made largely of rock salt and still below sea level at its top. Rain has carved it into salt caves, among them Malham, one of the longest salt caves in the world. A salt pillar on its cliff is known as Lot's Wife, after the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. See also Lot's Cave.
