Samaritans שומרונים

Small community that keeps its own version of the Torah and holds Mount Gerizim, not Jerusalem, to be the place chosen for worship. They still offer the Passover sacrifice there each year. Jewish and Samaritan tradition give different accounts of their origin. Their number fell to a few hundred in the early 20th century and has since grown to somewhat fewer than one thousand, living at Kiryat Luza on Mount Gerizim and in Holon.
