Zealots קנאים

Name given to Jewish rebel factions in the revolt against Rome of 66 to 73 CE, known as the First Revolt. Groups inside Jerusalem fought each other as well as the Romans. The Sicarii, a separate group, held Masada until its fall. The main source on all of them is Josephus, who opposed the rebellion.
