Arab citizens are a majority in the Northern District. There they are about 39 percent Muslim, 8 percent Druze and 6 percent Christian. In the Haifa District Muslims are about a fifth of residents, with Druze on the Carmel and Christians in Haifa. In the city of Tel Aviv-Yafo Arabs are 4.5 percent of residents, and about a third of the residents of Yafo. Four fifths of Druze and about 70 percent of Arab Christians live in the Northern District.
Sources. District religion counts from Wikipedia’s district pages, which cite CBS data. Years differ, as the labels show. Northern and Haifa are counts. For Jerusalem, Central and Southern the pages give percentages, and Christian shares are estimated from CBS’s national count of about 145,000 Arab Christians and the 2019 district distribution of Arab Christians, so the split of Arabs into Muslims and Christians in those districts is approximate. Tel Aviv is shown as the city of Tel Aviv-Yafo only, with 2019 shares from its Wikipedia page. “Christians” here are Arab Christians where the source separates them. Tel Aviv-Yafo is the municipality formed in 1950 when Tel Aviv and Jaffa (Yafo) merged. Yafo is its southern part, where about a third of the 52,000 residents are Arab. Druze: CBS 2019 distribution, Northern 81 percent and Haifa 19 percent. Judea and Samaria is not shown here and has its own page.
